The night of October 5th was both amazing and sad at the same time. Amazing because of what the boys have accomplished and their amazing win of their last game. Sad because football season is now over and they are no longer on the same team. However, they may be going their different ways but family is forever.
Sports. Football. When people here those two things most of them become uninterested and think it’s not important. Many people think football or sports are a waste of time. That statement could be anything but true. Lee County’s Ninth Grade football team of 2015, showed us just how wrong we all can be. The boys and coaches showed so much respect, support, cooperation, and teamwork every single time they were out there on the field.
We could not have such an amazing season without all of these hard working coaches to guide the boys along. These coaches include Coach Green (Head Coach), Kaion Hamilton (Defensive Coordinator), Pedro Cruz (Defensive Backs), Ronnie Rich (Defensive Line), Ryne Strickland (Offensive Line), Taurean Batten (Offensive Line), and last but not least, Andy Williams (Receivers). With only two losses and one tied game, the boys came out with wins for their other 4 games thanks to the listed coaches.
Sadly, on the boys last game, we had a team member get severely injured. Dylan Mullis had to be carried off the field by an ambulance towards the end of the game. The Mighty Trojans are all praying for the Mullis family and their son Dylan. We wish you good luck and love/support towards you all.
Lee County Trojans Freshman class of 2015 has made all of us proud. All 50+ boys on the team put in their very best work and Lee County is so grateful for you boys.
