We all look forward to Christmas break, but when we are at home all day for two weeks, it can get kinda boring. Here are some things you can do this Christmas break to beat boredom and stay in the holiday spirit!
- Drink hot chocolate by the fire.
What’s better than a warm drink by the warm fire in your warm pajamas on a cold day? Oh yeah, nothing!
- Drive around and look at Christmas lights.
Go to those houses that have the lights that dance along with music on the radio. Just stalk your neighborhood until you’re content.
- Make a gingerbread house.
Once you’ve made the cute gingerbread house with the cute gingerbread family and you’ve taken the cute pictures for Instagram and snapchat, eat that house with no remorse. You deserve it.
- Watch cliché Christmas movies.
Especially those sappy ones that make you thankful for everything you’ve ever had. Nothing says “Christmas spirit” like tears and popcorn.
- Put up Christmas decorations
Christmas trees, Christmas lights, Christmas candles, and Christmas everything makes for a rad house this holiday season.
- Sing Christmas songs 24/7.
Make a holiday playlist and bring out the old Michael Bublé and Mariah Carey soundtracks
- Read a book…or two…or ten.
Beat the boredom by reading a few books. Or a whole trilogy. Or the entire Percy Jackson series…again…who’s judging, though?
- Make a blanket fort when it gets cold
Blankets + chairs + sofa cushions = the awesomest fort to ever exist
- Binge watch the last seasons of Teen Wolf and Pretty Little Liars.
It’s always a perfect time for Teen Wolf with Dylan O’Brien and Tyler Posey! Gotta get ready for season 5B coming out January 5th! Can’t forget PLL either.
- Spend time with friends and family.
After all, what’s Christmas without a not-so-friendly argument over who gets the last roll?
These tips should keep you out of boredom and in the holiday spirit this Christmas Break! Don’t forget that Jesus is the reason for the season!!
