Everyone loves to eat Christmas cookies. They are a classic treat that are famous around the holidays. An easy recipe would be peppermint snowball cookies. They are traditional and easy to make. It calls for ¼ cup of finely crushed peppermint candies, ¼ cup of powdered sugar, 1 cup of softened butter, ⅓ cup of powdered sugar, another ¼ cup of crushed peppermint candies, 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract, ¼ teaspoon of salt and 2 ¼ cups of flour. The first step is to preheat the oven to 325°. Next, mix the ¼ cup of crushed peppermint, ⅓ cup of powdered sugar, butter, vanilla, flour and salt. In a separate bowl mix ¼ cup of peppermint and ¼ cup of powdered sugar. Save that and put it to the side. Shape the dough from the first bowl and set them onto an ungreased baking sheet 2 inches apart. Then bake 12-15 minutes or until set but not brown. Immediately after taking them out of the oven, roll them in the peppermint and sugar mixture. Set them on a wire rack and let them cool. After they are cool, roll them in the mixture again. Finally, the cookies are ready to eat.
